Blackpool Festival of Running Marathon · 21 April 2024

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

I have chosen to run my first marathon in aid of Stroke Association.

I've been training since April 2023, when I signed up for the Blackpool Festival of Running Marathon, which happens to be the day after my 38th birthday!

Both my financée and I have had close relatives suffer with strokes which ultimatly led to their passing. We also have an amazing nephew, who suffered a stroke at the age of 8 months old. He's 10 years old now and continues to fight each and every day and we are so incredibly proud of him.

Stroke Association help people to rebuild their lives following a stroke and all of your donations, no matter how small, will mean the world to me - and make all of this training worth it!

Your donations will allow them to continue their operations and support their helpline, investments in stroke research, support groups and assisting thousands of people being discharged from hospitals each year.
