DWJS's fundraiser for CASPA

This Wednesday, 2nd April, we will be taking part in this year’s Wear Green to Be Seen campaign in support of CASPA. CASPA (Community Autistic Support, Pride & Advocacy) is a local charity which works primarily in the Bromley and Orpington areas providing advice and support for autistic children and their families.
Although CASPA is a very small, local charity, the work that it does is vital. CASPA works to provide autistic children with access to a range of clubs, holiday activities and trips. CASPA works with autistic children and young people of all ages, from under 5s (CASPA Tots) to 16+ (CASPA Futures), and also provides social opportunities and workshops focusing on building greater independence for autistic adults aged 22-30 (CASPA Beyond) and 30+ (CASPA Infinity). The wide range of individuals that CASPA works with really serves to underline the fact that autism impacts on the lives of so many individuals, younger and older alike, and their families.
Darrick School Junior school is proud to be a neurodiverse community and, as such, we will be demonstrating our support for CASPA’s annual Wear Green to Be Seen fundraising event. We are therefore inviting the children to come into school on Wednesday in their own clothes. Crucially, we would like as many of the children as possible to wear green. This could be as simple as a green item of clothing or accessory, but the greener the better! If your child would like to join us in supporting CASPA, we are requesting a suggested donation of £1. Donations can be paid in advance via our Just Giving Page Arbor or brought into school on the day. All funds raised will go directly to CASPA to support their work in local schools and communities.
This is a very worthy, local cause and I would like to thank you in advance for your help in supporting CASPA.
