We’re seeking to raise £160,000 for the expansion project of Darwen Madina Mosque. Due to a growing number of the Muslim community in Darwen, a need for an expansion has become compulsory. 

Currently, we’ve instructed the builders to start the expansion project, with the funds we’ve raised so far (£120,000) with a further £40,000 urgently required to complete the work. 

The expansion project consists of the following; 

• Expanded prayer area for the youth and women of the community 

• Funeral Facility

 • Purchase of the neighbouring property (part of the expansion of the mosque)

However, with a shortfall of £40,000 it ultimately means that we’re unable to progress further, leaving the mosque looking like a building site, which is why we’re humbly requesting for your kind donations. The work is currently ongoing, and we have a deadline of 6 weeks to raise the remaining amount of £40,000.

The messenger of Allah (SAW) said “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise”.

We firmly believe that when we’re placed  in a position of trust, we have to be completely transparent. If anybody would like to see any receipts, invoices or even come to have a chat, we’ll be more than happy to share with them.
