Story
Thank you for visiting our Just Giving page, for the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Charity.
We are Darwin Group and we are delighted to be constructing the new Learning & Development Centre at Dryclough Close, and have offered our services to participate in the AJ Bell Great North Run, to support some fantastic projects at CHFT.
We have been working with the fantastic teams at the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust since being awarded the project in 2022, seeing the project develop through the relevant preconstruction stages, achieve planning permission, demolition of the pre-existing terraces and we're now into the internal fit-out phase of the project, projecting completion in early October 2024.
I am fortunate to be running alongside my colleagues and good friends Cameron Reed and Matthew Foster, the perfect combination of construction, design and project management to challenge the Great North Run!
Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Charity, is on a mission to make an amazing and long-lasting difference to patient, family and staff experience. With your support, you can help fundraise a range of projects such as scalp coolers for chemotherapy patients, bereavement resources for those who have lost or facing the loss of a loved one, or distraction technology for some of the youngest patients. These projects help transform the hospital from a clinical space / care environment to a welcoming and homely place for patients to be.
Please do feel free to show your support and donate generously!
I'll be sure to keep everyone updated with race photos and any good news stories from CHFT advising how your donations have made a difference. For those attending the Great North Run, be sure to keep an eye out for us, we'll be wearing bright orange vests sporting the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Charity logo!
Thank you for visiting our Just Giving page and reading through, and thank you to those who donate.
All the best,
Jamie, Cameron & Matt.
