Steph and I have given ourselves 6 weeks to get ready to run a 10k forest run!

Although we have run in the past, I'll be honest, I was 3 stone lighter than I am now and i've not run 10k in quite some time, and steph has only run 10k twice the last one being over a year ago!

This is going to be tough for us both, but we will run together and get each other over the finish line!

But, why are we doing this?

After recently attending a Business Networking event we had the absolute pleasure to meet the team at Rainbows Hospice for Children & Young People.

The support this amazing charity does across Northamptonshire and the Midlands is quite incredible.

However, we were very saddened to understand that only 13% of their funding comes from the Government, everything else comes from donations.

It was in this moment we knew we had to do what we can to help Rainbows.

Steph has spent over 25 years working in Public Health, from being a Special Care baby nurse to present day as a Child Exploitation Specialist in our local communities. Helping children and adults in is Stephs DNA and giving back in every possible way is something Steph is extremely passionate about!

Daryl has spent c20 years working in the corporate world partnering with every type of business from FTSE, Plc's through to SME businesses but in the past 5+ years he has become saddened at the corporate behaviours that exist, how poorly people are treated, and has been on a mission ever since to prioritise and drive human centric behaviours to ensure we put people first and corporate agendas second.

It is our hope that you can all help us reach our fundraising goal of £1000 to support this amazing charity.

We never know in life when we need the support and care of a charity like Rainbows, so Steph and I have decided to embark on an ongoing mission to raise as much money as we can, as well offer our time to volunteer at their hospice.
