Story
I am going way beyond my comfort zone and am competing in the London Marathon 2024 (Sunday 21st April).
Running has always been a hard one for me as I did not enjoy it one bit, however the more miles I run, the more I seem to enjoy myself. So, I’ve set myself the hardest challenge of my life to date: joining 50,000 people and running (and hopefully completing) the London Marathon!
I’ll be running as part of #teamNSPCC. The NSPCC is the UK’s leading children's charity and fights to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. They help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening.
On average, 2 children a minute contact Childline for help. And it costs £4 to answer their call.
By raising £2,200 (the amount required of me to be able to run), you’re helping to pay for up to 550 children to get the help and support they need from their Childline counsellors!
Any donation, no matter how small, makes a difference and gets me closer to my target. Thank you in advance.
