YMCA Milton Keynes is an independent local charity. We provide affordable accommodation, support and well-being services to young people aged 18-35 years old. Our aim is to help young people in Milton Keynes belong, contribute and thrive.

Story

Datis Gol is a passionate advocate for the environment, having transitioned from a legal background and banking to pursue his commitment to sustainability and creativity. In 2015, Datis established Bucks Star Beer, a brewery dedicated to crafting exceptionally pure beers using organic grains and an unadulterated process. Their unwavering dedication to sustainable principles resonates throughout the business.

However, in 2016, tragedy struck when a fire ravaged the brewery. Undeterred, Datis persevered for two years, and in 2018, the business was reinstated, showcasing their resilience and determination. Amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, they ingeniously launched the Brewery Tap House—an offshoot of the brewery. The Tap House offers a unique experience where patrons can indulge in organic and locally-sourced products, relish mouth-watering organic sourdough pizzas made from scratch, and partake in a range of captivating events.

Driven by their deep-rooted environmental ethos, Datis continues to make a positive impact. Now, Datis seeks to extend his influence by participating in CEO Sleepout for YMCA Milton Keynes.
