Story
Hey, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year's event is the obvious evolution of last year's run. It started off as a simple idea to run combine several different shorter runs around Chichester Harbour into one long route, starting at Hayling Island lifeboat centre and finishing at West Wittering beach. The start and finish were only about a mile apart as the crow flies but the scenic route following the waterline was a 44 mile treat taking in some amazing scenery.
With the help of some amazing friends and family we raised just over Β£1,800. It seems inevitable that we'd do this again so here we in 2026 with bigger ambitions.
For this year's event, i've rounded the route up to 50 miles because why not? I want to run further, get more people on board and raise even more money.
Although my Dad has retired his running shoes, he is the motivation for my running, especially when the going gets tough so he'll be with me for every mile on this. Dad was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer a few years back but thankfully he has responded well to his treatment. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK, with over 64,000 new cases diagnosed annually. It is primarily a disease of older men, with 1 in 8 men diagnosed in their lifetime.
Please donate what you can and if you're interested, join me for a few (or a few more) miles.
