Story
Swansea 70.3 Ironman 🏊♂️🚴🏃
This July, I’m taking on one of the toughest challenges of my life: the Swansea 70.3 Half Ironman. That’s a 1.9km sea swim, a 90km cycle, and a 21.1km run — all in one day. 💪
I’m not doing it just for the medal.🏅 I’m doing it for Dorothy House 🔵 — and for a very special additional cause that means a great deal to me.
🔵 Dorothy House has provided incredible care and support to families at the most difficult times in their lives. They have recently supported a friend and colleague, Andrew 💙. Seeing first-hand the compassion, dignity, and comfort they bring to people when it matters most has deeply moved me. 🥰
My main pledge:
I will complete the Swansea 70.3 Half Ironman in July and raise as much money as I can for Dorothy House 🔵, so they can continue their vital work for patients and families who need them most.🧑🧑🧒🧒
A second pledge — supporting Andrew’s son:
A percentage of the money I raise will also go towards helping Andrew’s son travel to Peru to take part in a project building shelters for people in need. 🏡 He has been unable to raise donations himself, as he has spent the last few months by his dad’s side during a very difficult time. I’d love to help give him the chance to make a positive difference for others, just as Dorothy House 🔵 has done for our family and friends. If you’re able to sponsor me, 💵 no matter how big or small the amount, you’ll be helping make a real difference — both locally through Dorothy House 🔵, and internationally through this incredible Peru project.
Your support will push me through every early-morning swim, every long bike ride, and every tough mile of the run.
Thank you so much for reading, for your generosity, and for helping me turn this challenge into something truly meaningful.
