Padstow Sea Cadets are an important part of the Padstow Community and have been providing training and life skills to the young people of the town and surrounding areas for over 65 years.

Padstow Sea Cadets are a Registered Charity and rely solely on fundraising and donations to meet its ever increasing running costs. Sadly in the last few years these running costs have skyrocketed and it is getting harder and harder to keep up with these growing outgoings.

The Unit needs more help!

So, to support them I am putting my beard up for the chop!

For those that know me, they know how important my beard is to me. Its a huge part of my identity. Within the Sea Cadet Unit and the wider county and South West Area Sea Cadet Community, I am recognised as 'The Big Chief with the Beard'.

When we recently asked our Cadets for fundraising ideas, they kindly suggested that 'Chief shave his beard'. Thanks for that guys!

So, here we are! Our last event for 2025 will be our Sea Cadet Christmas Dinner on Saturday 20th December. Following the meal, the razor will come out and the beard will be going...... all in the name of charity!

So please dig deep and help this great charity to continue to support our young people.
