I've worked at National Star for over 15 years and seen the incredible impact it has on young people's lives and for their families. I want to be part of the Building a Brighter Future Appeal to build new specialist accommodation by summer 2023. This will provide the best possible facilities to enable young people with complex disabilities to progress, grow and flourish.

I'm setting myself the challenge of running 5 kilometres a day throughout April which will give me a total of at least 150k. I'm not a natural runner and this will truly be a challenge for me as I normally run 40-50k a month and the most I have ever run in that time is 89k! I don't know if my body will be able to stand up to it but it should be fun finding out as my month will start in Belgium, include a trip to Yorkshire as well as running in and around Gloucester.
