Story
Sadly on September 11 2024 my cousin and her husband were given the devastating news that their daughter Lexi had been diagnosed with Metastatic Medulloblastoma Group 3. She began intense chemotherapy in the following months to try and give her as much chance as possible to have a childhood. On April 2nd Aimee & Mark were given the unimaginable news that nothing further could be done for Lexi, sadly Lexi passed away 3 days later. During her time at Starship hospital in Auckland Aimee and Mark were supported by Ronald McDonald House New Zealand. In Lexis memory I along with two close friends are going to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in under 12 hours. Your donation for this worthwhile charity will go a long way in supporting family’s facing similar devastating diagnoses as my own family have faced. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, every £1 counts.
Ronald McDonald House Charities UK provides free ‘home away from home’ accommodation to families with children having treatment in hospital.
Our Houses offer much more than just a place to stay; they provide family activities, peer support, respite, and many other services. This means that families can be by their child’s bedside in a matter of moments, whilst maintaining a degree of normal life with reduced emotional and financial strain.
We help over 6,000 families each year and now, more than ever, we need your support. Thank you.
