Story

Earlier this year we lost Rich Duffill (aka Pointy, Pointy Dave, Satan and probably many more nicknames!) at the far too young age of 51.

Rich was a legendary character, and a terrible influence on all who knew him. He acted as the social secretary for many of us in the days before having the interweb in your hand, was always up for a laugh (and what a laugh....) and probably a sore head the following day.

One of his biggest passions was music, and while I'd never have told him to his face, he could certainly play the guitar (though his singing was atrocious!) and for this reason his daughter Kelly-Anne requested donations go to Misfits Music Foundation...and so here we are. Please give whatever you can for this amazing local charity, it really is what he would have wanted. More details on Misfits below:

"Misfits Music Foundation was founded in November 2018 by adopted Brummies and local musicians Reuben Penny and Rob Jones.

We bring adults together through music to reduce loneliness and isolation. We currently run a range of regular groups including community rock bands, instrumental groups, singing groups for those with experience of mental ill health and music sessions for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism and their carers.

We strongly believe in the power of group music making activities to facilitate new connections between people, break down social barriers and help members of our local community become active citizens. We see first hand the power music has to reduce loneliness and improve mental wellbeing in our participants."
