I’m running the London Marathon in memory of my 2 brothers- Michael and Daniel, who both passed away from a rare genetic disorder called ALD. We sadly lost Michael in 1984, and then Daniel in 1990 both aged 11.

I can’t ever bring my brothers back. I miss them both so much and think about them both daily.

The reason I chose AlexTLC is because I don’t want others to go through the loss, trauma and heartbreak that me and my family went through all those years ago. I want to spread awareness, and raise needed funds to give hope to those who need it.

AlexTLC supports families have either lost a loved one, or have a loved one that is battling with a form of Leukodystrophy.

Leukodystrophies are rare genetic disorders that mainly affect the white matter of the central nervous system (ie the brain or spinal cord). They affect people of all ages and backgrounds, most notably children.
