Firstly thankyou for visiting my page!

As some of you may be aware, I am a passionate runner and have been for over a decade now.

Last year I made my triumphant return to competitive racing when I ran in the Great Birmingham Run in memory of my mum (Marcia Slater) who died of cancer in 2022 just 8 weeks after she was diagnosed. I raised over £300 for Cancer Research UK.

In 2026 I have set myself a bigger challenge....

You may not know but in June 2026 I turn 30 years old! A big milestone in my life, a milestone I know my mum would of loved to of been here for. You see when I was seven years old I was taken away from my mum and put into the care system. When I was 18 I started building that relationship with my mum again, and I miss her every day.

To mark such a big milestone in my life I wanted to do a challenge which I could do every month of 2026, and I came up with my 30km Every Month for Cancer Research UK.

Some people will know that I love running, working out at the gym and exercising on my spin cycle at home and that I tend to do lots of exercise.

So in 2026 I am aiming to do AT LEAST 30km of activity every month (that's a combination of running/walking/cycling). I have already entered some competitive running events coming up in 2026 which will help towards the goal.

In 2025 I ran 338 kilometres alone throughout the year, so 30km of activity every month should be easy for me.

Why 30km? Well its to mark my 30th Birthday and my fundraising target is £300.

Cancer effects 1 in 2 of us in our life time and Cancer Research UK is trying to find a cure.

No matter how small the donation is, every single penny helps Cancer Research UK.
