Many of you will know that our lovely boy Fudge passed away on the 28 July 2024 from a short illness two weeks before his 12th Birthday.

Fudge walked a Long Distance Walk every year for charity, but from 2016 he concentrated his efforts on helping Spaniel Aid UK. Over the years he was very fortunate to raise over £30K with the wonderful support and generous donations from his family, friends and supporters of the charity.

Before he passed away we were planning his next walk in Northumberland. He loved exploring the hills and beaches of this beautiful county, therefore Angie with her new knee, Duck (his favourite toy) and I have decided to walk the 62 miles (over 6 days) along the Coast Path from Cresswell to Berwick-on-Tweed. This will be completed in memory of our wonderful little chap and many of his dear doggy pals who have also joined him over Rainbow Bridge in recent months 🐾🌈❤️

Spaniel Aid UK are a rescue and rehoming charity for spaniels and spaniel cross-breeds, which aims to help these dogs to find the best possible home in which to spend the rest of their lives. They offer a friendly and non-judgmental service for people wanting to rehome their dog, and a trusted and reliable option for dog wardens and vets looking for a safe placement. All their dogs go into foster homes where they are assessed, given vet checks and treatment, and then put up for adoption. This costs money, mainly vet bills - in September 2024 their vet bill alone was £54,000 therefore to provide this wonderful service they need every penny possible.
