Story
I’m taking on my first ever 10K at Tatton Park in September 2026, to raise money for The Christie charity — a charity that helps support people and families facing cancer treatment and some of the toughest times imaginable.
I only started running again this year, so this challenge is completely out of my comfort zone. There’s been aching legs, painful runs, and many moments questioning why I signed up in the first place… but compared to what so many people go through during cancer treatment, a difficult 10K feels small.
Cancer affects nearly everyone in some way, whether it’s family, friends, workmates, or people close to us, and I wanted to push myself to do something positive while raising money for an incredible cause.
So while I’ll probably be fighting for my life somewhere around the 7K mark and getting overtaken by people twice my age, every donation will help keep me going and support the amazing work The Christie does every single day.
Anything donated genuinely means a lot — thank you.
