Story
David Green, Phil Coulson and Rachel Jones are running the Middlesbrough 10km on the 31st August 2025 to raise money for the Red Sky Foundation. David’s daughter, Evie spent 18 months in hospital whilst waiting for a heart transplant. The Red Sky Foundation are an amazing charity that helps families across the country both financially and emotionally.
“Red Sky is probably the biggest reason Evie is alive today. The life-saving equipment used during Evie’s transplant was funded by them, something we will be forever grateful for. We will continue to fundraise for Red Sky Foundation so they can keep supporting families like ours and providing for heart heroes across the UK.” - David, Evie’s dad.
Their mission is to make life better for people who are born with or develop heart conditions by providing lifelong support to them and their families. This is achieved by helping babies, children, adults and their families across the North East of England by funding equipment and raising awareness of the Children’s Heart Unit at the Freeman Hospital, other regional health services within the NHS and providing schools and communities with life saving defibrillators to make our region a safer place to live learn work and play.
