Story
Kate's impact and legacy have extended awareness of Secondary Breast Cancer and her charity far beyond what she could have imagined. BBC News invited Mark, Kate's amazing husband, who shared about his remarkable wife and mum to their girls, and our Chair, Kathryn Gordon, spoke of Kate's tenacity and the foundations she laid for the charity even during the past difficult months.
According to the Meltwater Report, Kate's final tweet on her account @teacherwithcancer has been viewed 41 million times, and the media campaign since her death has reached 1.6 billion worldwide.
In October we will launch the 'Fighting to be Heard' Book, which Kate had worked on with the other founders and trustees before passing. This book will be launched in October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the monies raised from sales will go towards counselling and support for youngsters going on this journey with parents with an incurable diagnosis. All of the money from this fund is for her wishes
