Our amazing team of runners are fundraising at the 2025 TCS London Marathon to support our world-class research and life-changing support. We’re here for anyone affected by breast cancer providing support for today and hope for the future.

Story

My friends and I lost our dear friend Allison to breast cancer in May 2024, 7 years after she was first diagnosed.

Her utterly incredible stance on how to navigate that particularly devastating diagnosis is unparalleled. She embraced her journey by allowing other to dive inside her world through her Instagram (@fanny_mcphee.) There, she talked about the good, the bad and the ugly. No holes barred. She advised and pontificated. She illustrated a life worth living and just how to reclaim yourself when your body is seemingly working against you.

My very last voice note from Allison was her telling me she’d be proud if I raised money for Breast Cancer Now in her name and that she’d be with me every step of the way.

I was so proud of her, and so proud to be her friend.

Now I have an opportunity now to make her as proud of me and I was of her.

If you can spare anything at all (I know times are particularly tough for some right now) I would be incredibly grateful.

Thank you.
