Great Manchester Run 2025 · 18 May 2025 ·

Bury Hospice provides palliative and end-of-life care to hundreds of residents and their families across Bury. It will cost to run the Hospice this year £4.8million and we raise 83% of this total, but with the support of our community we continue to provide care and services to those who need it.

Story

Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page.

In May 2025, we’ll be running The Great Manchester Run together to raise funds for Bury Hospice in my dad Andrew’s name. He sadly passed away on the 29th of October 2024, aged 65, just five weeks after being diagnosed with cancer. During his final weeks, Bury Hospice provided our family with the support we desperately needed, allowing us to spend that time together in peace and comfort.

The care and compassion the hospice showed us during such a heartbreaking time will never be forgotten. They provided a safe, calm space where we could focus on being with Dad instead of managing the challenges of care at home.

Unfortunately, due to funding shortages, Bury Hospice can currently only keep 8 of their 12 rooms open. By raising money, we hope to help them continue their incredible work and provide more families with the same comfort and support we received.

Any donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in helping families through the toughest of times.

Thank you so much for your generosity and support. It means the world to us 💜
