Story
Everybody knows that times are tough, especially in the Education sector.
With funding cuts and budget constraints, it's hard for schools to modernise and obtain new technology to use with the pupils.
In Carnmoney Primary school, we are hoping (over the next 12 months) to be able to purchase 30 new Chromebooks, allowing us to have a ratio of four children to one Chromebook (P6/P7), allowing the Junior school to avail more of the facilities in the Computer Suite.
As this is my last year having a child in Carnmoney and being the outgoing chair of the PTA, I wanted to do something to give back to a school that has given us so much.
I'm hoping to raise enough to purchase at least 3 Chromebooks.
On 17th June, Philip (my 14 year old son and former pupil of CPS) and I intend to walk the 15 miles from Stormont to Carnmoney Primary School. We will be taking in sights such as Stormont, Victoria Park, Odyssey Arena, The Big Fish, Hazelbank, Three Mile Water and (of course) Carnmoney Village
