In October, Jon Bartlett, Shaun Wright and Dave Arthur will participate in the Great South Run to raise money for Sheldon's Shooting Stars, a charity that means so much to Dave and his partner, Sarah. Sarah has been living with breast cancer for the past 15 years. During that time, she has faced numerous operations, treatments and setbacks with incredible determination. Sadly, her cancer has now progressed, and she is being supported by the local palliative care team, as her quality of life has deteriorated. Living with incurable cancer can be an isolating and challenging journey, not only for the person affected but also for their loved ones. Sheldon's Shooting Stars provides vital support, friendship, understanding and opportunities to create precious memories for people living with incurable breast cancer and their families. We are running to give something back to a charity that has provided comfort and support during difficult times. Every mile we run will be for Sarah and for all those facing the daily reality of incurable cancer. Any donation, no matter how big or small, will help Sheldon's Shooting Stars continue their amazing work and support more families when they need it most.
