In August 2020 myself and some work colleagues had planned to do the C2C cycle route in honour of Joe Aspinall, a wonderful student in my form class who sadly died of cancer at the age of 19. Joe was a talented footballer who’d won a scholarship at an American University, and while there, became ill.

Unfortunately, that year I also became seriously ill, and was unable to take part with my work colleagues. This really upset me as I’d felt I’d let people down.

So this time I’m back, semi-fit, ready to embark on the 170 mile , 12000 ft ride across Northern England on my own . Genuinely not sure if I can do it, but will give it a crack.

I’m raising money for the teenage cancer trust in honour of Joe, and any amount, no matter how small , would be greatly appreciated.
