Story
Another year, another challenge!
Along with 28 others, I have committed to cycling from Great Yarmouth to The Durham Ox in Shrewley over 3 days, between Friday 27th to Sunday 29th June.
The purpose is to raise monies for the Molly Olly Charity, which was started by sister Rachel and her husband Tim, following the loss of their daughter Molly to cancer at the age of 8.
Since the charity was formed in 2012, it has raised over 5.5 million pounds, and helped over 19,500 children directly and indirectly, granting over 5,000 wishes.
Molly Olly’s Wishes aims to make the darker days brighter through providing wishes to children, donating therapeutic gifts and have also funded projects such as a Pediatrics Palliative Care Consultant and the funding of a palliative care facility in Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
I appreciate that many of you have supported myself and the charity on multiple occasions, but as you can see from the numbers above, your support does not help the same people every year, as it goes to different children who are diagnosed with life threatening illnesses.
If you can spare a minute to visit my JustGiving page and make any donation, whether it be small or large, it would be much appreciated and help someone less fortunate.
With big thanks, David
