Story
I am running the Manchester Half Marathon on October 12, 2025, in memory of my grandma Edith, who bravely battled dementia.
Dementia is a cruel disease that affects not only those diagnosed but also their families and friends. It steals precious memories and alters the very essence of who they are. I witnessed firsthand the impact it had on my grandma, and it is a journey that no one should have to face alone.
By participating in this half marathon, I aim to raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer's Society, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals affected by dementia and their families. My goal is to raise £500 to contribute towards vital research and support services that can make a difference in the lives of many.
