Story

Just over 10 months ago I set out to run 14 half marathons to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and Men's Mental Health through the RUOK? campaign. 1 half-marathon for each year of our mum's cancer diagnosis to losing her fight, including 2 back-to-back in the Tromsø Midnight Sun Marathon

14th half completed with the poignantly named Lucky Clover half-marathon.

40 years ago we lost mum to cancer, 14 years after the first diagnosis. She saw us grow into young adults, but was not there to celebrate our successes and significant life events or offer support and wisdom when we faltered.

Mum was the inspiration, but since starting the challenge, others loved ones are going through the same journey, so I ran for anyone and everyone who has, is or will be affected by cancer or mental health and whose loved ones will have a similar experience.
