Team: Team fundraising for Julia's House

Positive Lending Trek · 19 May 2026

No parent expects to live longer than their child, but for many of the families we support, this is a reality. Julia's House, the Dorset & Wiltshire Children's Hospice charity provides frequent respite care for children and support for their families at home, in the community and at our hospice.

Story

This May, along with some of the Positive Lending team and a few industry friends, I’ll be taking on a charity trek along one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the UK to raise vital funds for Julia’s House Children’s Hospice.

Our challenge begins at Corfe Castle, taking in some breathtaking views along the Jurassic Coast. Team members will be tackling either a 15-mile circular route or a slightly more sensible 10-mile option for those choosing the shorter distance.

It's going to be a tough but hugely rewarding day, knowing that every step (and every blister) is in support of an incredible cause.

Julia’s House provides frequent, flexible care for children with life-limited or life-threatening conditions, giving families the precious gift of rest, reassurance and support when they need it most. Amazingly, 93% of the funding needed to run this vital service has to be raised through donations, which is why we’re so proud to be supporting them.

By sponsoring me, you’ll be helping to make a life-changing difference to children and families facing some of the most challenging circumstances imaginable. Every donation, big or small, genuinely makes a difference, and the team and I are incredibly grateful for your support.

And when I’m somewhere around mile 12 questioning my life choices, I’ll remember people have sponsored me… which means turning back would be far more embarrassing than finishing!
