Ronald Charles Leonard Coles sadly passed away at home, on June 20th 2024.

Ron was a fun loving & caring husband to Ann, father to Joanna & David and Grandad to Alfie.

He was brother to Joan, Jean, Pamela, Raymond, Doris, Doreen & Carol.

Alfie, David & Toni's son (now 17 almost 18!) has Down Syndrome & attends The Endeavour Co-Operative Academy School in Brentwood Essex. A school that for many families like us, we owe so much gratitude to. The schools website is here - www.endeavourca.co.uk/

Alfie left main stream Primary school with no school in the local area he lives in suitable for his needs (in our opinion) and upon recommendation, we approached The Endeavour to see if they would take him in. (The school is a 42mile round trip for his parents, but well worth it for many reasons.) Thankfully they accepted us and it's been a fantastic experience for us as a family. Alfie is now in 6th form. The main school is being refurbished and made bigger to cater for more young learners up to an older age group.

Ron took a keen interest in seeing Alfie's achievements. He also felt touched by those that helped him, be it sports clubs, family friends and carers, respite centres like Elhap and the school for making sure he was happy, safe and able to flourish in a learning environment. Dad always liked to donate what he could to those people whenever possible.

For this reason, we set this page up to take donations for Alfies school who are desperately in need of continued support going forward.
