My personal connection to this cause is that a close member of our family sadly suffered from dementia before eventually passing away (April 2024), and I saw the pain and loss this caused as their identity and independence was stripped away. So I'm fundraising and undertaking this challenge to support the Alzheimer's Society and hopefully aid others.

So... I’ll be taking on a tough but exciting challenge — a three-day trek along the Istria Mountain Trail in Croatia. The route will take us through wooded hills, into a national park, and across three mountain peaks, finishing at the rocky summit of Mount Učka.
