David's fundraiser for Katharine Rutherford's Sunshine Glioblastoma Foundation

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Having seen my father in law and my wife both take part in the London Marathon over the last 2 years, I decided to enter the ballot for this year. Unfortunately i did not get a place but thanks to the Katharine Rutherford Sunshine Glioblastoma Foundation I will be at the start line on Sunday 27 April.
This charity is in memory of an amazing woman, Katharine Rutherford (Coops), who passed away from a Glioblastoma in 2021. I only met Katharine a few times but she had a huge close connection to my family and to the hockey club that I play for.
The charity in Katharine’s name aims to advance health and save lives through; (i) The promotion of public awareness of Glioblastoma and the issues surrounding the condition (ii) The provision of grants to organisations focusing on the advancement in understanding and treatment of Glioblastoma Multiforme.
So, I will be pounding the streets and countryside around Taunton over the next few months in the build up to the big day. As it will be one Coops running for another Coops, I’ll be giving my all throughout the training and during the marathon. I hope to raise as much money as possible for Katharine’s Foundation.
