Story
A mad women called Clare Jones has roped me in to doing a sky dive in May 2025 for a fantastic cause. My grandad and mother-in-law suffered from this terrible disease.
The Alzheimer’s Association reported that about 1 in 3 people over the age of 65 die of Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia.
May next year we have booked to jump 10,000ft out of a plane to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer's society to help and support those currently suffering and also their families as well as future research.
How your money helps
My sky dive fundraising could have a life-changing impact for people affected by dementia:
£50 means 312 people can access Talking Point, our online safe space, where a trouble shared can become a trouble halved
£60 could pay for a blood test in a clinical trial that aims to find out more whether existing drugs could treat small vessel disease, a major cause of vascular dementia
£130 could fund one day of a talented PhD researcher's time increasing our understanding of the causes, prevention and treatment of dementia
At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.
We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future
