Story
This challenge is so much more this year than the previous ones we have done. Every day of the challenges before have got harder and harder as the week goes on, by the end of the 5 days of cycling 100 miles I'm always keen to not see my bike again for at least a month or so! So despite that we have decided to push ourselves even more, doubling the distance by doubling the days for a great cause.
The D S Smith's 'South Cluster Cycling Team' (comprising of Sue Saunders, Me, Gary Cowling, Ben Langdon, Wayne Kew & Jason Donnaloia) are embarking on our most ambitious challenge yet - 'The Power of 10'. Setting off from Devizes on 13th September 2025, we aim to visit 10 of our sites across the UK, France, and Belgium, cycling an incredible 1,000 miles in just 10 days!
We are making this year an even greater challenge as Sue has had her cancer return after battling the disease 6 years earlier.
We have chosen Breast Cancer Now as the charity we are supporting. They are supporting Sue and her family at this difficult time and we want to enable others to be able to benefit for the tremendous work that they do.
Sue will join us once again on this epic adventure, supporting us every pedal of the way with Jason being part of the support double act sharing the driving!
The full enormity of our challenge is shown below...

And for the observant ones of you will realise we aren't cycling across the channel! That's what Ferries are for.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the world. Over 55,000 people are diagnosed every year in the UK alone. Each one will face challenging treatment regimes. Gruelling side effects. Uncertainty, anxiety and fear.
Breast Cancer Now's vision is that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live – and be supported to live well, but to make that happen, they need our support!
We invite you to join us in making a difference. Our target is to raise £12,000 for 'Breast Cancer Now', and your generous contributions will help us reach this goal.
