Storming the castle 10k · 20 August 2023

We are the only support group in Northern Ireland raising awareness of Functional Neurological Disorder which is a chronic illness and has no specific pathway for treatment. Our aim is to provide drop-ins, counselling and a dedicated outreach worker, and to raise awareness within the medical profession.

Northern Ireland has over 1500 people living with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). This is a common condition, yet information and awareness in Northern Ireland is low.

An estimated four to 12 people per 100,000 will develop FND

between 50,000 and 100,000 adults and up to 20,000 children under the age of 16 live with FND in the UK.
