Story
A band of brothers – serving and veteran Royal Marines – are lacing up their boots once again for a tough challenge in support of the Royal Marines Charity.
On Sunday, Lee Gorman, David Gad, Oliver Coulbeck, Wayne "the Commando" Sando, Connor Smith, and Reece Thompson will be taking on the Grimsby 10K – but they won’t just be running it. They’ll be speed marching the full 10 kilometres while carrying weight, staying true to the Corps’ legendary marching standards and Commando spirit.
This isn’t just another run for these Marines. It’s about giving back to the charity that looks after their own – serving Royal Marines, veterans, and their families. The RM Charity provides vital support, from mental health and welfare services to recovery programmes and family assistance. Every mile they march helps continue that crucial work.
From the streets of Grimsby to the hills of the Brecon Beacons and beyond, these lads have served together and trained together. Now they’re marching together again – this time for those who have worn the Green Beret and for the families who stand behind them.
If you can, please support these Marines and the Royal Marines Charity.
Every donation, no matter how small, makes a real difference.
