Story
On Sunday 12th April 2026, I will be taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise funds for Little Roo Neonatal Fund at St Peter's Hospital.
Seven years ago, within hours of Rupert being born, our world turned upside down. Severe breathing difficulties meant he was rushed to the NICU at St Peter’s Hospital, and suddenly our precious new born was inside an incubator, fighting to breathe.
Nothing can prepare you for that moment – the fear, the helplessness, the uncertainty of whether your child will be okay.
But the NICU team at St Peter’s were extraordinary. Their skill, compassion, and unwavering support will never be forgotten.
They didn’t just care for Rupert – they cared for our entire family, offering comfort and hope when we needed it most.
Today, Rupert is a thriving 7-year-old, full of life and energy. We will never forget what these incredible people did for us.
That’s why I’m joining Team Little Roo – a group of 21 runners including NICU staff who run for the tiny patients they care for, and families like ours who run in gratitude or in memory of their beautiful babies.
Every mile I run will be for every baby fighting for their best start in life.
Your donation – whatever you can give – will provide life-saving equipment, support families through their NICU journey, and help this amazing team continue their vital work.
Thank you for being part of the Little Roo Neonatal Fund story, and for helping write happy endings for other families.
Many thanks
Dave and the rest of the Green Family
