Story
David was always passionate about supporting young people. Having spent his entire working life in the construction industry, and having guided his youngest son into a successful career in the sector, we know it would have meant a great deal to him for donations made in his memory to help give other young people the same opportunities to learn, grow, and build a bright future.
Donations made in David's memory will support Get Ready in Construction—a multi-week programme delivered in partnership with organisations such as The King's Trust. The programme helps young people take their first steps into the construction industry by providing health and safety training, visits to live construction sites, and three months of mentoring and job-finding support, giving them the skills, confidence, and opportunities to begin a rewarding career.
Thank you for helping us honour David's memory in a way we know he would have truly appreciated.
The King’s Trust believes that every young person should have the chance to succeed, no matter what their background or the challenges they are facing. We help those from disadvantaged communities and those facing the greatest adversity by supporting them to build the confidence and skills to live, learn and earn.
- £10 could fund a call to our helpline, enabling a vulnerable young person gain the critical advice they need
