My name is Dave - rapidly approaching middle age and wanting to still show I can climb a hill or two.

In May 2026, 50 colleagues of which I am one from JLR are taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to make a difference to the lives of people in crisis and raise money for the British Red Cross.

While it lasts just one day, this challenge covers almost a marathon distance by foot and accomplishes an ascent of 1532m (higher than the UK’s largest mountain)– but in just a matter of hours. 

The British Red Cross has been Defender’s trusted and valued humanitarian partner since 1954 when a Series 1 Land Rover was given to the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to act as a mobile dispensary in the Dubai desert. Since then, the partnership has impacted over 2 million lives in more than 50 countries.

All monies raised will go towards supporting The British Red Cross’ humanitarian work in the UK and around the world so that, together, we can continue to be here for humanity.
