Dave's Big Bike Ride (London to Brighton)

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm super excited to say I am taking part in the London to Brighton Cycle Ride on September 10th for the wonderful Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Not being a very experienced rider, deciding to getting pedaling and ride 55 miles is a little bit out of my comfort zone!
I've got all the gear and definitely no idea and yes before you ask, I've even become a MAMIL (photo evidence of this will not be provided, unless a huge donation is made)
Starting at Clapham Common, the ride takes me through and out of London, then predominantly cycling along quiet country lanes passing through Mitcham, Carshalton, Chipstead, Banstead and Haywards Heath before taking on the challenge that is Ditchling Beacon – a mile long climb to the top of the South Downs!
And what better reason to do it than for all the children at Great Ormond Street hospital...
Every day, around 600 children and young people from across the UK arrive at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs. And every day is a chance for us all to make a difference.
Without you, they can’t help fund groundbreaking research, advanced medical equipment, support services for children and their families, and help with the rebuilding and refurbishment of wards and medical facilities at the hospital.
Support me and Team GOSH and together we can help GOSH build a better future for seriously ill children.
