Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

In memory of Matt Cragg, I will be taking on the Winter Spine Challenger North this January, a formidable 160-mile ultra-endurance race along the iconic Pennine Way.

Matt is missed every single day by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, and with his help and inspiration, I’ll be giving my all to reach the finish line.

The race starts in Hardraw, North Yorkshire, and ends in Kirk Yetholm, just over the Scottish border. It will be a true test of endurance, resilience, and fortitude.

With your support, Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) can continue reducing the number of young sudden cardiac deaths by working with cardiologists and family doctors to improve screening, raise awareness, and protect the heart health of young people.

By supporting CRY, you can help save young lives from these often hidden cardiac conditions.
