On 15th March 2026, it will be 40 years since I lost my little daughter, Laura. She was just 10 months old at the time. From the age of 24, I’ve had to live with that loss without any support beyond my family.

Between 12th and 15th March, I will be walking from Freemasons hall in London to my local lodge in Totton, which is just shy of 100 miles, alongside family, friends, and fellow Freemasons to raise funds for Sands.

Sands is a charity dedicated to supporting families who experience the devastating loss of a baby or very young child, whether before or after birth. Sands provides vital support during the darkest times and funds research into why babies die, with the hope of preventing future tragedies.
