It’s the time of year again when I participate in a football marathon for an incredible cause. I am older, slower, fatter, unfitter, and definitely not better than I once was! But I love this charity and what they do, so while I can still move and my team still let me play, I intend to carry on going and would love it if you could support me in this by donating what you can to this great cause!

I have seen first-hand the amazing force for good football possesses in promoting life saving healthcare messages, I am determined to keep fundraising for this worthy cause, even if my body seems to be less enthusiastic.

Me and my team (99 problems but the pitch ain’t one) are putting our love of football to the ultimate test this summer by entering one of Tackle's Football Marathons - a unique fundraising event. Each year over 1000 people take part in Tackle's regional 12-hour tournaments across 5 cities in The UK.

The charity uses the power and popularity of football to deliver HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information and services to young people on football pitches across Sub-Saharan Africa.
