Story
I'm cycling the 80 miles South Somerset Cycleway in 1 day to raise money for a fantastic church, St. James Yeovil, where I happen to be vicar.
We've been here 600 years and anything you can donate will help us to share God's love with our community (and pay the fuel bills!). We serve an area of 15,000 people, working in primary and secondary schools, care homes and toddler groups.
South Somerset Cycleway has 1427m of climbing. That's the equivalent of cycling up Ben Nevis from sea level, and then to the top of St Pauls Cathedral. Or cycling 9x up Glastonbury Tor. It's the same distance as a straight line between Yeovil and Swansea, or Birmingham and Barnsley.
And I'm going to try to do it in a day, on Monday 3rd June 2024. So every £1 donated will add power to my pedals!
