As lucky as I am to be fit, healthy and earning; like many I have had difficult times, and I like to use my skills to helps others.

Since junior school I have helped many charities and completed many treks, spin a thons, selling poppies and many, many more fundraising activities.

I needed a new challenge and what better way to support an incredible charity than by Trekking the Great Wall of China (no, not all of it), supported by David Lloyd Raynes Park. I will be raising funds to help Dons Local Action Group, who are a local network of volunteers initially formed in response to the COVID-19 crisis and now permanent across Merton, Wandsworth and Kingston.

The Dons Local Action Group's aim is help those in their local community to fight poverty and offer support. They provide food parcels, household goods, furniture and appliances. They also offer laptops through their Keep Kids Connected initiative for children who do not have access to online learning.

I will be keeping you posted with my various fundraising activities & training for the big event and look forward to sharing the amazing things your donations will achieve through DLAG and their work!
