David Lloyd Hamilton has been supporting Team Eilidh's fundraising efforts for Beatson Cancer Charity since 2017 in memory of Eilidh McHugh, who was a former member of the club.

Eilidh passed away in March 2017 aged 22 due to a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Those who knew Eilidh would tell you that she was such a fantastic girl, with boundless levels of energy and kindness. She also shared our love of fitness and dancing. So gifted, vibrant and full of courage, Eilidh showed incredible strength and determination throughout her very short battle with cancer.

In honour of Eilidh's memory and her unwavering dedication of our club, we are proud to announce that we will be putting on our dancing shoes and sequins, as members of our team take part in Strictly Beatson on Saturday 12th October 2024.

We are committed to continuing Eilidh's legacy by raising funds for Beatson Cancer Charity and their vital work supporting people affected by cancer - something that has an impact on many lives.

Our strictly team is made up of: Karen Symcox, Murray Fallow, Sharron Mooney, Linda Stobbart, Jordan Maguire and Fraser RIchardson.

Just like Eilidh's family and friends who have taken part in previous years we hope to light up the Strictly Dancefloor in her honour. all fundraising for this event will go towards Team Eilidh's continued support of some key Beatson Cancer Charity services which include a Bereavement Service, designed to offer caring and compassionate support, particularly in the first few months of a person's loss, as well as the charity's vast range of wellbeing services.
