Whitburn and District Community Development Trust operate a few projects across the town, including:

Community Support hub, where we offer general support and signposting to the community as well as free computer use and we also have a dedicated Citizens Advice Worker based within the office as well.

Community Fridge Project: Open 5 days a week and offers members of the community access to Food and other household items with dignity at a low cost. We also redistribute surplus food from local supermarkets to save good quality of food reaching landfill. We also deliver a Brunch club at home project to those in the community that may not be able to cook a nutritious meal for themselves.

Community Garden Project: Offers the community space for those from all ages to come together to share new skills and learn from each other whilst growing quality fruit, veg and flowers for the community. We have also planted over 150 trees, installed a pond and wildflower garden to attract a variety of wildlife to the garden.

We also work in partnership with organisations to deliver; a weekly walking football group, the Friends of Polkemmet and Polkemmet Country Park run and support our Local Gala Day!
