We brighten the lives of children who are living with serious or life-limiting illnesses, between the ages of 3-18, across the United Kingdom by granting their wish and supporting them in hospitals and hospices.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am doing my first ever marathon for Rays of Sunshine, which is a great charity that brightens the lives of seriously ill young people by granting wishes and providing ongoing support in hospital and within the community. There are over 85,000 children and young people living in the UK with a life-threatening or life-limiting illness. This figure is increasing every year.

Every day of the year, Rays of Sunshine gives children and young people the chance to put their illness on hold and enjoy a moment of escape. Wishes can be as unique as the children themselves and whether a child wants to be a princess or a fireman for a day, meet their favourite celebrity or even a 'real-life' mermaid, or the Loch Ness Monster, Rays of Sunshine works hard to make that come true. Rays of Sunshine believe that children with serious illnesses deserve to have their dreams fulfilled. A wish gives children pure joy and the chance to be a child again.

Any donation no matter how big or small will help me to reach my target for a very worthy cause.

Thank you.
