The last 8 months of my life have been a very interesting and wonderful journey. My husband Matt and I have finally started our adoption journey, and I must say it hasn’t been the easiest at times and we still have a long way to go, but thanks to our social worker Tracey and people from St. Andrews Children’s Society we have been able to find help and support with what could be a much more challenging process, since our first enquiry 4 years ago and all the way from pre-adoption meetings, and the home study they have been incredibly supportive. That is why this year I have decided to fundraise for this charity so, more people like Matt and I can fulfil their dreams of becoming parents through adoption. At St Andrew's Children's Society we've been dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children living in Scotland through adoption and foster care for over 100 years. Our mission is to ensure that all children can grow up in a safe and loving home.

Many of the children who are adopted and fostered have experienced trauma and as a result they and their adoptive and foster care families need ongoing support from us. As a voluntary adoption and fostering agency we rely on fundraising to pay for the support we offer our amazing families.
