After my Dad retired he looked for ways to engage with others and he chose to help as a collector for Macmillan. My parents’ home was littered with the green and white collection tins, and every penny had to be counted and bagged. 

Technology means that fewer green collection tins are seen these days but luckily there are QR codes and many of us have mobile phones

Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them.
