Story
On 19 April, I’ll be lining up at the start of the Manchester Marathon — 26.2 miles that I’ve chosen to run for something far bigger than myself..
Cancer has a way of changing lives instantly.
Most of us know someone who’s been affected — a family member,
a friend, a colleague — and we’ve seen how overwhelming that journey
can be, not just for the person diagnosed, but for everyone around them.
I’m running this marathon for Macmillan Cancer Support because they’re
there when people need help the most.
From emotional support and practical advice to financial guidance and
reassurance during the hardest moments, Macmillan makes sure no one has
to face cancer alone.
Training for a marathon is tough, but it’s a challenge I choose.
Cancer doesn’t give people that choice. Every mile I run is a reminder of that,
and every donation helps Macmillan continue supporting people living with
cancer across the UK — today and in the future.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast, and secure, and your contribution
goes directly to the charity.
